This project is visionary in every sense. We face real spatial constraints as a school – and yet, by repurposing this fuselage, we’ve created a cost-effective, inspiring space that enriches our educational environment. 

And it comes at a crucial time. Ofsted places great emphasis on literacy and reading. With this aircraft library, we can demonstrate how trailblazing approaches are helping our pupils develop a love of books and stories – lifting literacy outcomes and nurturing imagination. Just as the aircraft once took people on journeys across the continent, it now takes our pupils on journeys of discovery.
